Noice!

Gotta love those runs that almost seem to just purge themselves. I bet a vac would still pull a surprising amount out of that. To me, when your oil is already purged near perfection before it goes into the vac, is when the vac works best. I know ive said it a million times, but the vac works best as a finishing touch, not as some miracle purge device.

You've definitely come a long way from when you first started posting on here, my friend

Thanks Stizzo. Learned a lot from you!

I actually did try to vac it, lol... I had it on parchment on top of pyrex in the oven till it was melted down, then I threw it in the vac.

It just puffed up and wouldn't pop.

I know my pump works well, so I haven't been using a gauge for a while... but I threw it back on just to make sure i was still hitting -29 (i was).

When it was getting no reaction, I stopped the pump, let out the vacuum and the oil was already stable in the vac. I mean it turned stable in the vac in less then a min or two...

This happened a few times and i ended up saying screw it... it was a very small run. It had a good long hot bath and some added oven time.

Called it an oven purge since it did nothing in the vac. LOL

I gotta know....whats everyone's opinion on a slow Au-natural sunlight purge?
I live in a spot with fat amounts of sunlight n its about 70-80 during the day w/ 40% humidity....I'm planning on using the kettle a few times n when the tane liquid evaporates leave it out.... I know on the eventual this is gonna make some shatter its just gonna be slow as fuck. I dunno i maybe le baked n thinking natural organic (as you can w/ bho ) but I just wanna know what the census on this idea was

iv tried sunlight purges but have never had a full purge complete using only sun

my experience was good the sunlight directly on your dishes obviously does help keep the oil at a low viscosity it also reduced the amount of kettle water changes i needed but it seemed that it would get to a point where it would just stop at about 75% of the way through there were quite a few tane bubbles that would just stay put where i eventually flashed them with my tourch or used a heat gun i dont know if a higher sun temp would of been better (i was at 85 Degrees) or longer purge time but who wants to wait 4+ hours to purge a gram also with a glass lid over my dish in the sun it seemed to speed up my purge once i covered my dish.

imo the sun provides a great environment to make bho and can help with the purge by not letting your oil or water cool so quick but have difficulty seeing how people could achieve a full purge producing golden sap from blasting > solar purging > scrapping

I would like to hear experiences as well

I've done it with the help of a mag glass. Razing lightly with that to pop some bubbles

I dab on my Kut, Devol, KarmaScene (maka diffy/curve), SG, C6 (maka dropdown/karma diffy), and Freeek

I rip on a worked natty 4 arm pillar and a 12 arm fixed pierced hole syn.

Dishes by Devol, Strobel, Kennaroo, Rusty, N3rd, Kut.
Dries by Slinger, AK, Kennaroo
Slides by Hefe, LW, Toro, Roor, SG, Jack Hanshaw, AK, Opas, Lurch, Roo

hate the haters!

was there any smoke with the mag glass? that would be an excellent idea just fear cooking my oil mag glass burns my skin almost instant when you focus the ray of sun

Thumbs up Little bit a tech purge?

First post on TC, figured show you some of my purge on my run today.

Best oil I feel I've made yet. Somewhere around my 50th run. Thanks TC! ok so I've changed things up a little.

My Tech: I used Nugs from the Dspenc "oooo so frosty" only used 5gs. I dont remember the names just got the dankest nugs i could find three different types and dry em out. I use a funnel and a small mason jar and I spray through the funnel in the mason jar preferbably in the shade so I know that my mason jar isn't too small(if you try this you'll understand) and I only used about 1/2 to 3/4 of the can I use Newport Butane pretty good stuff I might go back to Vector dunno yet. Then I place the mason jar in a hot water bath to evap enough butane out so that I dont over fill my glass ash tray that i've iso'd. Then I purge that in the sun. in the same hot water bath with less water obviously not to over fill the ashtray with warm water. after I feel its safe(which it probably is way long before I get that feeling) I stick it in my conv. oven and close the door at 150 degrees to finishing purging. Then i do a little thing called razing(something I learned from TC)to clear it up. and vwala son! I think its bomb. Doesn't stick to my fingers "too bad" when I touch it. It's a little harsh still even when I put a fat dab on the TI. i'm really trying to get rid of some of that harshness and hack now though. any ideas on that?
