Or you could make a cloner. Super easy to make.

Go to the dollar store, get one of the cheap rubbermaid type containers, go to the fish store and get yourself an air stone and pump.

Cut/drill some holes in the lid, if the container is clear spray paint it Black, put the airstone in, fill with water and you got yourself a cheap DIY cloner that will make your life soooo much beter.

heres the only pic i have on hand of one i made to fit an old fridge as a cloning chamber. TBH the lid never gets used but i have it in case i need it. All that is needed is water, a cutting, and about a week. The great thing about a cloner is its worry free. Dont have to worry about them drying out or being too wet etc.

It had been under a different dome most all of the day, till i took that pic. After that I let it sit out in the open till about 7:00 (about 5 hours) and It never changed a bit. Put the dome back on for tonite.

And Panhandle, I've actually been debating on whether or not I should do somethin other than the conventional method. It works great and all, and in total, I've only lost two clones as of yet. I've seen a buncha people on here and other sites use home made bubble cloners with the same or better results. You may have convinced me to give it a go

Its worth it just for the peace of mind not having to worry about em. Put em in there and forget about em for a week.

I also used to cut leaves before the bubble cloner, but IMO its not necissary when using one. Kinda like the dome, not really needed with a bubbler unless you got some real dry air and alot of heat.

Super cheap as well. way worth it. If your frugal you can put one together for like 5 bucks. Im pretty sure thats what i have invested into mine. Never fails me.

Yeah, the only reason I cut my leaves is so they aren't resting up against the side of the dome. Pretty sure thats how I lost one of the two

Oh yea, definately do cut em right now with what ya got. It will help them to not be wicking and loseing so much moisture. Less surface space for moisture loss.

In a bubbler its just not necissary because they have a steady supply of air and water.

If anybody gitz that reference...I'd be surprised.

The clone...
...looks dry...and needs a dome. Throw that bottom tray out, or at least put a screen or somethin in the bottom, to keep the clones from wickin up any moisture that accumulates there...cuz there should be moisture accumulatin there. The available moisture in the bottom of the tray is wut keeps the humidity up.

Looks like I forgot to hit on that one, my bad.

I, myself, have no clue who or what this Cecil Magee is, but one of my very good friends that recently passed ( he was a good 45 years my elder), used to say that name once in a while when we'd be sittin at the American Legion, solvin the worlds problems over a nice cold Budweiser on his side and a Bud Light on mine. It made me smile when I read that.

An on that dome.. Only the first few days after I put the cuttings and starter pods in does it have any moisture on the bottom. That may be due to the fan sitting a foot or two away and pullin air thru, its not a sealed dome, has multiple vents on the sides, and is not adjustable like my other larger dome I use for our garden.

On a seperate note, gave the two in the box a rather heavy dose of flowering nutes. I think the last go around I was skimpy on doses, bein a-scared n all. This will be the first feeding since pistils have shown. Also had to use some 'dirt' from outside, apparently I thought I had three more bags of jiffy mix, till I went out and seen the lovely piles of 'mulch my loving mother decided to put round her flowers.

When the tray goes dry, it's time to spritz it and the dome with a spray bottle.

Hopefully nobody seen my other post, I forgot to read before I replied, lmao.

The top of the dome is always saturated, but I've never, that I'm aware of, had any standing water/ heavy moisture in the bottom tray

Usually the only spots on the bottom with moisture are directly under the pods.. Keep in mind I don't fill the dome, as I really don't have room for what I got, let alone extras

You should have some, to keep humidity up, but you do not want yer clones sittin in it wickin up the water. In that tray pictured, you'd hafta put yer clones at one end, elevate that side a lil more than the empty side, and jus let the lil bit of water be on the empty side then.
