Dimensions of the new box are gonna be somethin like 32"L x 22"W x 56"H.
Think I'm gonna go ahead and run the CFLs in it as well. Tryin to decide if I wanna put the fluoros in also. If I did, I'm thinkin I'd run em vertically in the back corners, just for some supplemental lighting down towards the bottom.
Should have the funds for the HID in another week or two, 'less I go with a single 400.

Would it be a wiser decision to go with 2 400Ws for vertical, or 1 600W for horizontal?

Roughly 3x2x5. I'm not limited to a 2' width, but I really don't see the need for a huge cab, I don't plan on mass cultivation. Probably 2-3 plant max. if that.
Foot print would be roughly 22"x36"-39". One half will be 4 1/2' from the ceiling, the other will be right at 6'. But that doesn't include the hood and ducting. 27"x6" Cooltube, regardless of wattage.

Then neither...too much wattage. At the high end, 6sqft @ 50w/sqft is only 300w.

Yeah, I ended up doin the math last night before lights went out. If i build to right at 8 sq.ft. and grab the single 400w, I"d be sittin right at 50w/sq.ft.
But is it necessarily a bad thing to have over 50w/sq.ft? Don't think I've ever stumbled across that info. Basically just over kill with some wasted wattage?

Just did a massive google search and came up with a few different people sayin different things.
One says 75w/sq.ft. is optimal, one says DO NOT go over 50w/sq.ft. (with no reasoning),
others are sayin wattage per square foot isn't nearly as important as lumens per square foot.
Basically everywhere I look, it contradicts the last thing I read

Anywho, heres some pics. Looks more like week 4 than 5 to me, but w/e, lmao. Seems like it just stopped stretchin a lil, hopefully, anyway.

The joys of internetting.

40-50w/sqft is optimal.
Lumens measures wut people see, not wut plants see.
Over 50 is jus wasted energy...too high and ya start over-workin the chlorophyl, git high enough & they'll bleach out & quit workin.

Not a whole buncha growth, but growth none the less. Wishin' I woulda went with 2 gal pots. Heres a couple pics.

Its lookin to me like this is a 10+ week strain. Personally got no experience with em, but I'm used to more dense buds by now.
Like I mentioned before, I've never ran a sallie, so I really dunno.
Input? Usually, Bob would chime in here, but it seems us noobs are at a bit of a disadvantage on that stand-point at the moment. Please and thank you guys
